National Maritime Day Celebrations Committee Awards – DG Shipping

We take this opportunity to thank all of you onboard for your dedication and tireless efforts.

We are happy to inform you that we have been once again  conferred “Most Compassionate Employer of Indian Seafarer Award” and “Best Foreign Employer of Indian Seafarer Award”  by National Maritime Day Celebrations Committee  for the year 2010

Also our  Capt. Ranjit Singh Chauhan  has been conferred for the “Gallantry Award at Sea” by the National Maritime Day Celebrations Committee.

The Award was presented by Shri k Mohandas ( IAS) Secretary, Ministry of Shipping ( Govt of India) on   5th April, 2011 at Yashwantrao B. Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai.

Dear Capt & All Staff onbd.,

The euphoria of India winning the ICC World Cup, had barely subsided when Anglo- Eastern was conferred nearly all the awards by DG Shipping on 5th April 2011.  We have been awarded –

1. The Best Foreign  Employer of Indian Seafarers by DG Shipping:

The award was given for having largest number of Ships with Indian Seafarers, for creating highest growth in job opportunity for Indian seafarers, for maintaining  highest level of retention of staff , for training largest number of trainees onboard & ashore. We have won this award on 9 occasions since 2002.

2. Most Compassionate Employer of Indian Seafarer Award by DG Shipping:

This award was given for being compassionate to needs of Seafarers and  their families in distress, by providing employment to large number of sons of seafarers, by handing Seafarers grievances and claims expeditiously, by providing medical reimbursements and financial helps to families of seafarer in distress beyond the legal obligations.

3.Gallantry Award at Sea  by DG Shipping .

Capt. Ranjit Singh Chauhan and staff of Saga Enterprise were awarded Gallantry Award for saving life at sea on 28th Jan 2010.

4. Creation Of Maximum Job for Seafarers  2010, by Sailor Today

During 10th Sailor Today – Sea Shore Award function on 12th of March 2011, Anglo – Eastern was awarded for creating maximum jobs for Indian Seafarers during year 2010.
The above awards are in recognition of commitment of Anglo Eastern towards Indian Seafarers. The awards could not have been achieved without help of full team of Anglo-Eastern onboard ships and our colleagues in technical , QHSE, OPS departments.
